Our Story

Kevin Geraghty’s path to building the company began during his time at the University of Colorado, when a life-altering car accident unexpectedly reshaped his direction. During his recovery, Kevin was presented with a rare opportunity: to move to Taiwan and study Mandarin. He took the leap. What began as a personal challenge quickly became a defining professional experience, leading him to spend over a year immersed in Taiwanese culture, language, and business practices – followed by another year at Yunnan University in mainland China.

Living and working abroad gave Kevin firsthand exposure to global manufacturing and supply chains from the inside out. After several years of working in the surface finishing industry with major OEMs, he recognized a major gap in the market. At the time, most companies sourcing overseas were focused almost exclusively on high-volume production. Very few were serving businesses that needed low- to medium-volume parts – especially in the heavy equipment and industrial sectors, where estimated annual usage often doesn’t justify traditional offshore sourcing due to tooling costs and high minimums, this is when Worldwide Sourcing & Solutions became a reality.

Seeing this unmet need, Kevin began working directly with factories in China while partnering with U.S.-based companies to prove that there was a better way. Through careful research, relationship-building, and a willingness to take calculated risks, he demonstrated that low- and medium-volume industrial manufacturing overseas was not only possible, but efficient and scalable. A leap of faith with a handful of early customers laid the foundation for what the Worldwide Sourcing & Solutions would become.

From those early partnerships, the company grew steadily – one solution, one relationship, and one success at a time. Today, the business stands on the same principles it was built on: deep industry understanding, global manufacturing expertise, and a commitment to serving customers who had long been overlooked.
